This Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy explains how we use AI tools within our clinic, the safeguards we have in place, and what this means for our patients.
Our Commitment
We believe AI can support better health outcomes by improving clinical efficiency, communication, and patient education — without ever replacing human judgement or the practitioner–patient relationship. All AI use within our practice is guided by strict principles of safety, ethics, transparency, and accountability.
How We Use AI
AI technologies may be used in limited ways to help improve our operations and patient experience, such as:

● Supporting clinical documentation and note-taking (with practitioner oversight);
● Assisting with appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups;
● Helping create educational or marketing content that promotes health awareness.
Importantly, AI is never used to make independent clinical decisions or provide medical advice. All treatment and care decisions are made solely by qualified osteopaths and allied health practitioners.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is our top priority. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in all aspects of data handling.
We do not upload identifiable patient information into public or non-secure AI systems. Any AI tools used within our clinic are carefully selected to ensure:
● Compliance with Australian privacy laws;
● Secure and encrypted data processing;
● Storage on trusted servers (preferably located in Australia);
● Strict confidentiality of patient health information.
Transparency and Consent
If AI tools are used in your care — for example, in generating exercise summaries or communication templates — this will be clearly explained to you. We will always ensure you understand how the tool is being used, and that a qualified practitioner is responsible for reviewing and approving all outputs.
You are welcome to ask questions or decline AI-assisted processes at any time.
Ethical Standards
